Canoe makers use these bits to make long, seamless joints in the curving hulls of their canoes. Just use half of the bit for the cove, then adjust the router to cut the mating bead. The resulting joint has a "hinging" action that is perfect for any curved element. Our bits are available in the smaller sizes for lightweight canoes, and also with a radius of up to 3/8" for coopered barrels, buckets and bowfront doors. The entire bit can also be used as an attractive decorative edge or molding profile. Bits have two flutes with a 1/2" guide bearing.
